Additionally, pilots applying for an FAA medical certificate with a foreign address must also have an Agent for Service on file. What happens if I don’t designate a U.S. Agent?
The FAA may consider your certificate invalid for service.
This can lead to suspension or enforcement actions if the FAA cannot reliably contact you.
Designating an agent protects your certification and keeps you legally compliant. What does the annual fee cover?
Your fee includes:
- A unique U.S. mailing address for FAA use
- Scanning and password-encrypted emailing of all FAA correspondence
- FedEx or USPS shipping of enforcement letters and licenses
- Full compliance support and renewal reminders
How do I update my FAA address after signing up?
